How to set up your provider - CLM

In CLM, e-signature providers are configured at the tenant level. This means one setup applies to all users in the tenant, individual users cannot configure their own provider independently. Setup requirements differ depending on the provider you want to connect.


✅ Option 1 — DocuSign

A feature flag must be activated by the DiliTrust support team on your tenant before you can use DocuSign in CLM.

⚡ Option 2 — Other pre-built providers

For all other supported providers (Adobe Sign, YouSign, Universign, Connective, Signaturit, DropBox Sign, Box Sign), retrieve your API key from your provider account and share it with the DiliTrust team to proceed with the configuration.

Where to find your API key depends on the provider — check your account settings or contact their support team. An example with YouSign is given here →


⭐ Option 3 — Custom provider (Generic API)

If your provider is not in the list above, you can connect any compatible provider using our Generic API Connector.

✌ Running two providers simultaneously

CLM supports up to two active providers at the same time (e.g. DocuSign + Adobe Sign). This is useful when different users in your team work with different providers, or when you want to transition smoothly between two providers without interrupting ongoing workflows.

Key rules when using two providers:

  • One account per provider only — you cannot connect two DocuSign accounts, but you can combine two different providers (e.g. DocuSign + YouSign)
  • Each user must be assigned a provider in User Management (e.g. Florian = DocuSign, Alex = Adobe Sign)
  • The assignment cannot be changed once a signature workflow has been launched — make sure user assignments are correct before any workflow starts
  • The system always uses the provider of the person who initiates the signature request
